About Us

Welcome to Train A Child

Train A Child is a dedicated organisation focused on promoting the holistic development and well-being of children by providing innovative resources, educational tools, and community programs that introduce children to self-care as an essential life skill. We support parents, teachers, and therapists in building daily habits that foster emotional, psychological, and spiritual growth in children.

What We Do

  • Preventative Care through Daily Practices: We emphasize the importance of preventative care, providing resources that act like “daily vitamins” for children’s well-being. Our tools are designed to be used regularly, promoting consistent mental health practices that help children build resilience and prevent future mental health issues. We believe that parenting is a crucial training ground for children and that discipline is built through daily practices that form lifelong habits.

  • Mental Health Resources: Our flagship product, My Big Emotions Journal, along with gratitude journals, affirmations journals, picture books, colouring book and other resources, helps children learn about their emotions, identify triggers, and develop practical strategies for emotional regulation.

  • Educational Tools: We provide a variety of tools, including mindfulness colouring books, handwriting practice books and activity guides to support children’s development.

  • Spiritual Resources: At Train A Child, we understand that a child’s spiritual development is as important as their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Our spiritual resources are designed to nurture a child’s faith, helping them understand their identity and purpose as they grow in their relationship with God. Our spiritual resources focus on instilling core values and truths that form the foundation of a child’s faith. We believe that understanding who they are in God’s eyes can provide children with a sense of purpose, belonging, and confidence.

  • Workshops and Programs: We offer workshops and community programs aimed at educating parents, teachers, and caregivers on how to support children’s mental health and well-being effectively.

Our Approach

  • Child-Centered: We prioritize the unique needs and perspectives of children in all our resources, ensuring they are engaging, relevant, and developmentally appropriate.

  • Evidence-Based: Our materials are grounded in the latest research in child development, psychology, and mental health.

  • Holistic: We believe in nurturing the whole child, addressing emotional, mental, social, and spiritual aspects of well-being.

  • Collaborative: We work closely with parents, educators, and mental health professionals to create comprehensive support systems for children.

Our goal is to put these essential resources into the hands of as many children as possible, empowering them to take ownership of their own development. By doing so, we aim to break cultural cycles one resource at a time and leave a worthy legacy for all children.
