What We Explore
Week 1 – Understanding My Feelings
Girls begin learning that emotions are important signals that help us understand what is happening inside us.
They explore:
- recognising different emotions
- understanding that all feelings are valid
- learning language to describe emotions
Girls practise identifying emotions and reflecting on situations that might bring those feelings.
Week 2 – Friendships and Kindness
Friendships are a big part of life at this age.
This session explores:
- what makes a healkay friendship
- kindness and empathy
- how to respond when friendships feel difficult
Girls reflect on how they want to treat others and how they want to be treated in friendships.
Week 3 – Confidence and My Strengths
Girls begin recognising their own strengths and the qualities that make them unique.
They explore:
- self-belief and positive inner language
- recognising their abilities and strengths
- building confidence in their voice and choices
This session helps girls develop a stronger sense of self.
Week 4 – Managing Big Feelings with Confidence
Girls bring together what they have learned and begin practising how to respond to emotions in real-life situations.
They explore:
- recognising when feelings begin to feel overwhelming
- simple calming and regulation strategies
- making thoughtful choices in emotional moments
Girls practise using the tools they have learned and reflect on how they can use them at home, in school, and in friendships.
This final session helps girls feel more confident in their ability to understand and manage their emotions.
What Girls Take Away
By the end of the Bloom Girls Circle series, girls leave with:
• A clearer understanding of their emotions and what those feelings may be communicating
• Simple calming and grounding tools they can use when emotions feel overwhelming
• Language to describe how they are feeling, helping them express themselves more confidently
• Greater confidence in navigating friendship dynamics and everyday emotional challenges
• A stronger sense of emotional awareness and self-understanding
• Practical strategies for pausing, reflecting, and responding thoughtfully during difficult moments
Girls also benefit from the experience of being part of a supportive and encouraging circle, where they realise that many of their experiences and emotions are shared by others.
Parents and caregivers gain helpful insight into ways they can gently reinforce these emotional tools and conversations at home.
What a Typical Session Looks Like
Each circle is designed to feel calm, welcoming, and supportive.
Sessions may include:
• Gentle group discussion
• Guided emotional reflection activities
• Simple grounding or calming exercises
• Confidence-building conversations

Girls are never pressured to speak. They are invited to participate at a pace that feels comfortable for them.
