Anchored Girls Circle

A supportive 4-session wellbeing circle for girls ages 11–14 navigating the emotional and social changes of early adolescence.

Early adolescence can be a confusing and emotionally intense season. Friendships shift, confidence can wobble, and many girls begin to question their identity and place in the world.
Anchored Girls Circle is a small, supportive wellbeing group designed to help girls better understand their emotions, strengthen their sense of self, and develop practical tools for navigating everyday challenges.
Through guided conversations, reflective activities, and gentle emotional skill-building, girls begin to understand that their feelings are valid, their voices matter, and they have the capacity to grow through difficult moments.
It is a safe and encouraging space where girls can pause, reflect, and develop a greater sense of inner steadiness.

• navigating friendships and social dynamics
• building confidence and self-trust
• managing overwhelming feelings
• developing calming and grounding strategies
• reflecting on identity, values, and belonging

By the end of the Anchored Girls Circle series, girls leave with:

• A clearer understanding of their emotions and what those feelings may be communicating

• Simple calming and grounding tools they can use when emotions feel overwhelming

• Language to describe how they are feeling, helping them express themselves more confidently

• Greater confidence in navigating friendship dynamics and everyday emotional challenges

• A stronger sense of emotional awareness and self-understanding

• Practical strategies for pausing, reflecting, and responding thoughtfully during difficult moments

Girls also benefit from the experience of being part of a supportive and encouraging circle, where they realise that many of their experiences and emotions are shared by others.

Parents and caregivers gain helpful insight into ways they can gently reinforce these emotional tools and conversations at home.

Each circle is designed to feel calm, welcoming, and supportive.

Sessions may include:

• Gentle group discussion
• Guided emotional reflection activities
• Simple grounding or calming exercises
• Confidence-building conversations
• Creative journaling or wellbeing prompts

Girls are never pressured to speak. They are invited to participate at a pace that feels comfortable for them.

Anchored Girls Circle may benefit girls who:

• are navigating the emotional and social changes of early adolescence
• are experiencing friendship challenges or feeling pressure in social situations
• are struggling with confidence or self-doubt
• feel overwhelmed by their emotions or by increasing expectations
• would benefit from a supportive space to reflect, connect, and develop practical emotional tools

The circle offers a small, supportive environment where girls can learn, share, and grow alongside others experiencing similar changes.

Many girls experience emotional challenges quietly. Within a small, supportive circle, they begin to realise they are not alone in what they are feeling.

Hearing others share similar experiences helps reduce shame, build connection, and create a sense of belonging.

Small groups allow space for:

• trust to develop over time
• thoughtful and meaningful conversation
• emotional safety and gentle participation
• consistent, supportive connection

Anchored Girls Circle provides structured emotional wellbeing support, helping girls develop practical tools to navigate emotions, relationships, and everyday challenges.

While not therapy, it offers a thoughtfully guided space where girls can strengthen emotional resilience, deepen self-understanding, and grow in confidence during early adolescence.

If your child is navigating changes in friendships, confidence, or emotions, this circle offers a supportive space where she can feel understood, build confidence, and develop tools to navigate this stage with greater clarity and resilience.
